Meet Mr. Schepp
I have been teaching at Oakfield since 1999. In my years here I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade. My first six years were spent teaching 4th grade. The following years I spent most of my time teaching 5th grade but also ventured into 6th grade for a year during that span. In 2021, I made the move the Middle School to teach 7th and 8th grade Math. Oakfield gave me my first job as a teacher and I am thrilled to be part of a wonderful staff and community.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1999. Five years later I received my Master's degree from Marian University.
In my classroom, I am big on respect and being responsible. As a teacher, I try to make learning as fun as possible. I think it is important for everyone to laugh a little each day, therefore I incorporate humor throughout my lessons. I also use technology whenever I can in my teaching. Not only does it make learning more interesting, but it also helps prepare students for what the future workplace will bring.
I got married in 2001. We have 3 wonderful children.
In my years at Oakfield, I have spent a lot of time as a coach. My first couple years I spent some time on the football field (MS, Freshman, and JV football) and basketball court (7th/8th-grade basketball). However, the sport I truly love coaching is baseball. I have been the Varsity baseball coach at Oakfield since 2001. In 2017, we made it to State for the first time since 1996. In 2022, we made it to State for the second time in 6 years.
