SCHOOL DELAY AND CLOSING PROCEDURES
 

The School District of Oakfield now has an “autodialer” to notify people of school closings, unexpected early dismissals, or delays in starting times. Make sure your contact information is kept current!
If we close or delay school for any reason (such as snow day, fog delay, etc.), it will be announced on the following radio and television stations:

KFIZ, 1450 AM
WTCX, 96.1 FM
WFDL, 97.7 FM
WMDC, 98.7 FM
WPKR, 99.5 FM

Television channels 2, 5, 11, 26, all out of Green Bay.

We will contact these stations if we are closing early as well. We would greatly appreciate it if you would refrain from calling school during these times. It ties up our telephone lines at the very times we are trying to contact the stations and bus companies to make sure our students get where they belong.

Please remember that if you feel it is too dangerous where you live for your children to come to school and we have not called off school, you should keep your children home. If you do this, it will be considered an “excused” absence. The safety of our children is always our top priority. Road and driveway conditions can sometimes vary greatly in different parts of our district.
