Teaching Experience
Corey Rickert has dedicated his teaching career to Oakfield, where he has made a significant impact since 2007. Initially teaching 3rd and 4th grades for 14 years, he brought creativity and enthusiasm to the elementary classroom. In 2021, he transitioned to the Middle School, where he taught Social Studies for two years, an since 2023, Middle School Math. His diverse teaching background allows him to connect with students across various subjects and grade levels.
Coaching Experience
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Corey has been an active member of the coaching staff. He coached middle school football for three years and has served as the varsity football coach since 2012, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship in his athletes. He also has coached middle school baseball and is the current powerlifting coach.
Professional Background
Before embarking on his teaching career, Corey worked in the counseling field for two years and then with the Department of Corrections. This experience has enriched his understanding of student needs and behaviors, enabling him to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Personal Life
Corey has been married to his wife, Tricia, since 1993. Together, they have two sons, Collin and Nathan, who have both graduated high school and embarked on their own careers. In his free time, Corey enjoys camping with Tricia, exploring the beauty of the country and creating lasting memories together.

Corey believes in fostering a love for learning and helping students develop critical thinking skills. His diverse background and dedication to student success make him a valuable asset to the Oakfield School District community.
