Hello! My name is Mrs. Abigail Daane, and I am thrilled to begin the 2024-2025 school year as the Agriculture Instructor and FFA Advisor here at the School District of Oakfield. This marks my fifth year in this rewarding role, and I can’t wait to dive into another fantastic year!
About Me
My husband and I met in high school and married the winter of 2020 (he's better known in Oakfield as Mr. Daane the middle/high school industrial arts teacher). We're proud parents to our one-year-old daughter, Charlotte. I love spending time with Charlotte and Mr. Daane, whether we’re working on home projects, hiking, fishing, or preparing for our classroom activities. Our family also includes Sophie, our spirited three-year-old Goldendoodle, who adds a lot of joy to our lives!
Educational Background
I graduated from the Waupun High School in 2016 and in the Spring of 2020, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education. Growing up on my family’s farm in northern Dodge County gave me valuable hands-on experience in the agricultural industry, which I bring into my teaching.
Teaching Philosophy
I am passionate about providing students with leadership and career readiness opportunities through my Ag. Ed. classes and FFA. Agriculture and helping youth discover their purpose are two of my greatest passions, and I love sharing this journey with the students of Oakfield.
