Title: MS Special Education
Hello! My name is Mrs. Horvath, and I will be joining this amazing district as one of the middle school special education teachers this upcoming school year. I am not a stranger to this district, as I used to be a frequent substitute and taught summer school for several years before getting my first teaching job over 14 years ago.
I graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2009 originally with a degree in general education but ended up finding myself teaching special education instead with CESA 5, running a kindergarten through age 21 transition program for 2 years. While leading this program, I realized my passion was working with students with special needs. I went back to school through UW-Oshkosh to get my special education license and worked towards my masters in special education. Through different districts and schooling, my passion and dedication had only grown more. The relationships, connections, and successes, no matter how small, are what drive me to want to be where I am today. I am beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful district and community!
I live in Mayville with my husband, 2 daughters, and our 2 cats. We have lived in Mayville for over 10 years. I have a daughter entering 6th grade and another entering 2nd grade. This summer we have lived at the pool and on the soccer fields. Both of my daughters played soccer, and I coached my oldest daughter’s team. I am an avid reader, love listening to music, and being outside. We love to spend time as a family.
